My baby is Pregnant!!

That's right........Percie is expecting!!

So, I was saving this blogging stuff for one day when I'm pregnant, but this is definitely the next best thing!

Joe and I took Percie to the vet today to confirm our suspicions. In the words of the vet, "She's gonna be a mama!" I think he was just as excited as we are. Dogs are pregnant for 63 days from the day they breed, so Percie is 30 days pregnant today!! (we bred her the day before Mother's Day... isn't that sweet!) That makes her due date July 11, 2009. (which happens to be my bff Annslie's birthday... a good day for puppies!)

I have a feeling it is going to grow a lot in the next 33 days!!

So far, we have noticed that Percie eats and drinks a lot more than she did pre-pregnancy. I know that is to be expected, but she eats and drinks A LOT more than she did pre-pregnancy!! She is not running to chase squirrels quite as fast as she was and tires out much more quickly.

I'm so excited that Joe and I are gonna be grandparents, and I hope you enjoy sharing in this journey with us!
