Baby Bella's Baby Shower

(AKA the longest post ever....so be prepared!)

Saturday, February 6, 2010, was James, Natalie, and Baby Bella's baby shower.  Annslie, Carie, Christina, and I gave the shower.  Christina was nice enough to let us have the shower at her house!

Here is the invitation.  We went with the pink and zebra theme for the whole shower.

I ordered the invitations from this website.  Kristen was GREAT!  I would recommend using her to anyone!  The invitations came already printed, with envelopes, and return address labels.

This is a picture of the main table.

A closer look.

The sign I made.  It is kinda hard to read, but it says Welcome Bella Michelle.

Natalie, Baby Bella, and the table.

The cute cake.  Carie made the bow and decorated the cake.  I thought it turned out great!

The diaper cake I made.  (Another post on this to come!)

Bella's wreath hanging on Christina's door. (Another post to come on this soon!)

Bella's blessing ring hanging on Christina's door.  Natalie can punch holes in all of the cards she gets from all of her baby showers and place them in between the ribbons.  This ring will be a reminder to James and Natalie, and Baby Bella someday, of everyone who shared in this important and exciting time in their life.  (Another post to come on this soon!)

Another picture of the table.

The tasty punch Christina made.

More of the table.

Baby Bella.

We had fruit and chocolate fondue.  Christina and Annslie did an awesome job on the food!

More yummy food!  We had veggie and dip, spinich dip, cheese dip, pinwheels, sausage, and cheese and crackers.  And you can't have a baby shower for a baby girl without feather boas!

The gift table.  Natalie got some really cute stuff!!

Some action shots...

Christina's house was perfect for the shower!

Enjoying the food and punch.

Mama and Pam (Natalie's mom).

Carie and Annslie.

Natalie and friends from work.

Enjoying the yummy cake.

Me and Carie.

It's present time!  James was so sweet to come to the shower!  He even wrote down all of the gifts while Natalie opened them.

Bella will definitely know her name......and so will everyone she comes in contact with!  She got plenty of cute monogrammed things!

Natalie and more friends.

The shower was SO much fun!  Carie, Annslie, Natalie, Christina and I always have a blast when we are together!  Now.....I'm ready to meet Baby Bella!

Happy 5th Birthday Percie!

Percie was born February 5, 2005.  Joe and I had been married a little over a year and were living in Magnolia.  Joe's mom and dad have Percie's doggy mama, Angel.  We went to Trumann to visit one weekend at the end of January hoping Angel would have her puppies that weekend.  Of course she didn't.  She waited until we were gone for a few days to have them, so we made another trip the next weekend so we could meet the puppies!

Here is Percie when she was a few weeks old.

Here is Percie's birthday dress that I found at Just Dogs.

We also got her a b-day cake!

And Favors....

For her guests!
We had her party this weekend.  More pictures from that in another post!

On Friday, Joe went to his parent's house, so Percie and I spent the afternoon and night together.
What else could we do but shop?!?

Yes, I took Percie in Party City.  I needed to get some birthday hats for her party (do you know how hard it is to find plain b-day hats?) and I HATE leaving her in the car!  I'm so scared someone will break in the car and take her.

She rode in the buggy, and did great!  Of course everyone thought she was pretty cute.

Then we headed to Hobby Lobby.  I had a few things I needed to pick up.

She rode in the buggy.

Percie enjoyed her first trip to Hobby Lobby!  Not too long ago I saw a man with his dog in a buggy in Hobby Lobby, so I called them on my way to N. Little Rock and asked if I could bring her in.  The guy laughed and said as long as she was in the buggy it was fine.

Then we went to Percie's favorite store.

She likes riding in buggies!

Of course she wore her b-day dress because it was her birthday!

This cracks me up!  It is shampoo and conditioner that is the same brand as Bed Head.  It is a little pricey, so I decided not to get any.  It did smell really good though!  Has anyone ever used this on your dog?

And they had all of their new spring and summer clothes out.  This bikini cracks me up!

I did end up getting this dress for Percie for her birthday.  I think she will be so cute in it!  It was the last one in her size.....so I HAD to get it!
Percie had a great birthday!  I can't wait to share pictures from her party!

Percie Gets Clean

One of the things I don't like about when Percie has surgery is that she can't have a bath until her stitches come out.  She was one dirty dog!!

Percie is very good during her bath!

She knows when I get the soap out that it is time for her bath.  She comes in the bathroom, I take off her collar, and put her in the tub.

She just stands in one place while I give her a bath.  I wouldn't say she enjoys it, but she sure does like the way she feels after her bath!

After I finish bathing her, I turn off the water, sit down and put the towel across my lap.  She jumps out of the tub onto my lap and I wrap her up.

She lays in my lap and lets me dry her.

Luckily her fur is really short so it doesn't take very long to towel dry her.
When I let her out of the bathroom, she runs to find her daddy and show him how pretty she is.  She is so funny!

Percie is so good!  We sure are lucky doggy parents!

Kenzie's Letter's Part 2

Last week Michelle and I hung Mackenzie's letters on her wall.  I love the way they turned out.

I love her pink walls!

The "C" has been located and will soon be hot glued on the blank frame!  Ha!

We hung the letter's above Mackenzie's bed.
Thanks, Michelle, for letting me help with this project.  I think her room looks great!

We had such a good time together, and can't wait to go again!  This time we are leaving from New Orleans and going to the Eastern Caribbean:  Key West, Nassau in the Bahamas, and Freeport in the Bahamas.

Anybody want to join us?

Guess Where We Are Going?

I'm so excited!  I can hardly stand it and I am going to have to wait 104 days!
(We leave May 15, 2010 in case you don't want to count the days on a calendar!)

That's right......we are going on another cruise!  I wanted to share some pictures from our last cruise in this post, but my power cord for my laptop died and the new one won't be here until FRIDAY!  So, I'm on Joe's computer and the pictures are on mine.  Oh well!  Another post for another day.....
